Major Chords- shapes'

SECRETS TO KNOW 45 WAYS TO PLAY 12 CHORDS

By changing the shape of a chord and using the appropriate barre we can play one chord in various places.

Observe in the above chart the E major and the F Major.

The difference is that the E Major chords are moved one fret ahead and the 1st and 2nd strings are actually barred in the 1st fret.

Can you observe another chord like that?

Now, Let's move these above chords and add chords to our chords lists.

C major shape moved two frets ahead will give you a different flavor of D Major.

C major can be moved to 6-8  frets in the same shape and you can have F major in a different flavor.

Move two more steps and you can have a G major.

  1. C,
  2. D
  3. F,
  4. G

YOu can virtually move the D Major shape till the 12th fret and get chords like

  1. D,
  2. D sharp,
  3. E,
  4. F,
  5. F sharp,
  6. G,
  7. G sharp,
  8.  A,
  9. A sharp,
  10.  B,
  11. C,
  12. C sharp

  2. F,
  3. F sharp,
  4. G,
  5. G sharp,

  7. A sharp,
  8.  B,
  9. C,
  10. C sharp
  11. D,
  12. D sharp,

In G Major, you can get C, and D major chords by moving the G shape to 7th and 8th Fret and 9th and ten fret
  1. G,
  2. C,
  3. D
